2017 Theatre Workshop Series

QAAW's Arts Education Committee is offering a workshop series that will touch on many aspects of performing arts including improvisation, directing, dancing, characterization, set design, lighting, and more! The workshop series supports Quick As A Wink's objective: to educate and increase the public's understanding and appreciation of the arts.

One-Day Workshop: Improvisation with canadian improv games facilitator (ages 14-18)

The Canadian Improv Games is one of the largest most geographically dispersed theatre festival in Canada, with 14 regional programs and over 100,000 alumni participants. Canadian Improv Games, each year, encourages students to develop invaluable skills including positive, communication, leadership, commitment, and teamwork. The Canadian Improv Games is largely a public school based program.

This workshop opportunity encourages youth ages 14 - 18 to experiment with many different components of theatrical skill development in improvisation through a variety of theatre games and activities that encourage fast thinking, team building, and the important elements of scene creation and characterization.
