Surprise! I’m back!

Hello, everyone! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Ally, and I will be working as a summer student here at Quick As A Wink this summer. It’s a pleasure to meet you!

This summer actually makes my fifth working here at Quick As A Wink Theatre; I first came on for just one week back in 2012 to assist in running our Page to Stage summer camp, only to return and work full time during the summer of 2014, 2015, AND 2016. I was afraid that my education would prevent me from being able to apply this year – as I am currently working away on my second degree – so it was such a wonderful surprise when I learned I could find the time and would still be able to come back after all. I have a huge passion for theatre, especially that done through QAAW, and I am thrilled to be back working with such a wonderful community for another summer.

I’ll be working away on a number of different things over the next few months. For the next few weeks, you may not see too much of me as I will be operating mostly behind the scenes on various tasks: maintaining our social media pages, assisting in some camp planning, and so on. As we get deeper into the summer, however, expect to see me around much more! I will be taking over Mark’s Pub Trivia hosting duties for a while in the coming weeks, making my official 2017 return on May 30th, so I hope to see you there! I will also, along with my new QAAW coworker (who I’m sure you will hear from soon!), be responsible for planning and running our upcoming summer camps! Camp weeks are my absolute favorite of the summer, so I could not be more excited. You can register or learn more about summer camp by clicking here!

Part of my job this summer, as in the past, will also be to keep you all up to date on what is happening over at QAAW, and of course, our most notable upcoming event is our performance of The Music Man! The show opens on June 2nd, with a special Pay What You Can show on June 1st. Check out our Facebook page for more details!

I’m keeping this post short and sweet today, but fear not; you will certainly be hearing more from me soon! I look forward to chatting with you all over the course of this summer. Feel free to reach out to me any time you like!

Until next time!

Ally

Local Theatre Company Searches for Replacement Windsor Box Office

ANNOUNCEMENT: Quick As A Wink Theatre Society would like to announce that Moe's Place Music School is no longer a local box office partner with QAAW. The school will remain a valuable partner in performing arts education.

This decision was made as a result of Moe's Place Music adjusting their business hours from retail to a music school. Both organizations agree that, to continue to offer the best service to clients of QAAW and of Moe's Place Music, the box office should be relocated for the Windsor local area.

Moe's Place Music School and Quick As A Wink Theatre Society will continue to be close partners in the arts community in Windsor.

Quick As A Wink Theatre Society would like to thank Moe's Place for the continued support throughout the years, and we look forward to working on projects together in the future. We wish great success to Moe's Place as they continue to enhance the world of arts education!

Please note: the phone number used for box office reservations in the past is that of Moe's Place Music School and will no longer work as an information or reservation line for QAAW. There is currently no alternate phone number.

At this time, tickets are available online at http://www.quickasawinktheatre.ca/tickets or in person at Box of Delights Book shop in Wolfville.

Quick As A Wink Theatre Society is actively seeking a local Windsor partner for box office duties. We will update you as soon as we have a new agreement in place. We apologize for any inconvenience.
